Famous At Last
Have u experienced someone who became famous in front of your eyes?.
I have exp. that for the 237782th time. This time it was Hoobastank. The decent enuf alternate/NU/whatever rock band that has launched their “ticket to fame” song “the reason”. And now people are going to tell me, Have u heard this band “Hoobastank” ..its awesome man!!.
..arghh!!
Guys/Gals(I Doubt), go and listen to “Crawling in the Dark” or “Running Away”.
And OfCourse, don’t tell me Shareaza rocks when it becomes famous.
First day on Wheels
Today was my first day on wheels, and boy, didn’t I do well?
Awesome!,
I have outlasted the confidence in myself. This feels so cool!!
I went from LAX to Vermont to DisneyLand to La Brea to Vermont to My home.
I must have surely crossed more than 100 miles and I am still alive and Kicking.
Ashay!! I am proud of you!!
Long Time
Its been long since I have posted here. really sorry for that. Not that I had time or something. Its just that I have been too lazy lately (surprise, surprise).
Tommorrow I have a driving test with DMV. Since I just have some Motorcycle experience in Bombay, I am kinda “that person having bubbles in his stomach”.
Lets see what happens . Hopefully I shud come good.
Bhagwaan Bacha Le!!
Artist: Alanis Morissette
Song: So-Called Chaos
“Deadlines meetings and contracts all breached
D-days and structure responsibility
Have-to’s and need-to’s and get-to’s by three
Eleventh hours and upset employees
I want to be naked running through the streets
I want to invite this so called chaos that you’d think I dare not be
I want to be weightless flying through the air
I want to drop all these limitations and return to who I was meant to be
Heartburn and headaches and soon-to-be ulcers
Compulsive yearnings non-stop to please others
I want to be naked running through the streets
I want to invite this so called chaos that you’d think I dare not be
I want to be weightless flying through the air
I want to drop all these limitations at the shoes upon my feet
All wont be lost if I’m governed by my own uniqueness
Stop lights won’t work I’ll get home sound and safe regardless
Won’t deem me had if I’m led by my own rulelessness
My fire wont quell and I’ll be harm-free and distressless
Trust me
Line towing and helping expectations up to living
Inside box obeying inside line cutting
I want to be naked running through the streets
I want to invite this so called chaos that you’d think I dare not be
I want to be weightless flying through the air
I want to drop all these limitations at the shoes upon my feet
I want to be naked running through the streets
I want to invite this so called chaos that you’d think I dare not be
I want to be weightless flying through the air
I want to drop all these limitations and return to who I was meant to be”
One of my fav. albums these days.
YUVA - Review
I beg to differ the judgement made about this movie out here. Taran Adarsh, I feel is very +vely biased when it comes to saas bahu/shaadi vaadi commercial films (especially involving shahrukh khan).
I would like to point out some bad statements in the review.
The three youngsters, completely unaware of each other’s existence, cross path one day. And suddenly life undergoes a change…
Absolutely not!. I had read this review before watching YUVA and I was looking out for this factor. It never occured to me..
Their “path crossing” on the hoogli bridge was kind off setup with Lalan coming there to kill Michael. Life certainly didn’t undergo a drastic change after that. It did change Arjun(Vivek), but LALAN and MICHAEL were still doing the same thing as they were doing before “crossing each other”.
Now this might look very PICKY, but I like it that way ;).
More towards SERIOUS criticism.
Taran Says:“Mani Ratnam is an accomplished storyteller, but he seems to have got confused this time around. He has opted for a theme which not many would take a fancy to – politics – since the issue has been beaten to death by several makers in the past.”.
I beg to differ again. I don’t recall a single (I may be wrong here) hindi movie in which the youth actually is interested in joining politics to help improve the society. The core idea promoted by the movie is youth involvement in politics by courage, hardwork, intelligence and dedication rather than muscle power, which is generally the case in the movies Taran is pointing to. I remember so many movies in which Suniel Shetty/Sunny D/ etc are trying to “change the world” all by themselves with their 360deg punches.
Well that does not mean that I rate YUVA as a first class film. I would defi give it a B+ or may be B++. I am just sad that a respected critic like Taran Adarsh has smashed it so badly to give it a *. This definitely meant a lot of bad gossiping by people who havent even seen it.
YUVA has some excellent performances by Abhishek and Rani and decent ones by the others and is definitely above average when you compare them to other hindi movies that come these days. (Lakeer got **1/2 from him…yuuucck)
It is definitely worth one watch (and 2 for me, because of FANAA
).
PS: I may add some more to this.
Can I go Home?
I get so scared to ask this question to Uncle. Second question I get scared to ask is “Uncle, will u sponsor me in Fall?”. I hope Uncle sees this blog entry :D.
Talking about home. I desperately wanna go there, and for one month or more, no less. That much time is gonna revive all my internal juices (as my school bio teacher would put it).
I just realised what wonders a vacation can do to you.
Bombay is gonna be fun in the rains. I haven’t seen it for 2 years now I guess. Imagine how many vada pavs and cuttings ill get to eat, and hang out with Mannu and Ma(ma)Pa(pa)Da(da) all the time.
GOD!, Gimme the strength.
Well, I dont think thats gonna happen though because:
1. I am the biggest fattu in town.
2. I need to go December too, and I am not that rich to make 2 airlines happy in one year.
But I need to go now!!.
Anybody wanna sponsor this “Ma” Deprived Child?
Music: Bad Drawn Boy - Silent Sigh.
PS: One day ill surely map the nicknames I use to their real ones.
