I have always liked 2 types of music.
- The ones that concentrate on the actual composition and come out with amazing tunes
- The ones that have awesome lyrics and good music to support them.
That explains my immense liking of Buddha Bar, Trance, Floyd and Metallica.
Out of these 4, I have always felt that The Buddha Bar Collection is not as much appreciated as much as it should be. May be its lack of their advertising, free availability etc.
You can always find the entire collection on Amazon.
Buddha Bar is one of the most awesome CD collections one can have who tends to like music that fit the Criteria 1 mentioned above. They have come up with 8 Sets (each containing 2 CD’s each) and have world music. Mostly having Indian, French and African influence.
The most awesome things I like is the range of instruments used in the albums. I have heard almost all the instruments in this world. And used to greater good. I was so tired of listening to the same old guitar and drums compositions that one day I closed my Winamp abruptly in spite of Led Zeppelin playing Immigrant Song. It also has that immense ability to pull you in tunes and amaze you with newer and better tunes as you go along the song (and still avoiding the repeated ness that comes with trance).
So I strongly recommend Buddha Bar to all you guys out there. They are the most valuable collection I ever had and will have (i guess). Don’t forget to listen songs by Sa Trincha, Trumpet Thing, De-Phazz , Claude Challe and DJ Ravin. These guys have been regulars and have always come up with great tunes.
